Our Vision

Across the Province of Ontario, all young people will feel safe and supported in their communities and households...

...They will be supported to make healthy life choices and will have equal opportunities to achieve their goals and thrive, regardless of their context or background. They will trust, be aware of, and easily access the services and supports they need, and will have strong relationships with caring adults who support them. Systems, organizations, and service providers will be accountable to young people, families, and the community, and be aware of, and responsive to, their diverse social, linguistic, and cultural strengths and needs. Person-centred, trauma-informed, anti-racist and culturally appropriate services for young people will be readily available and easily accessible. Provincially and locally, youth engagement and perspectives will govern policy and decision making in areas that impact the lives of young people.

Objectives of the Learning Hub:

The Learning Hub provides accessible training opportunities to YOWs.

As a virtual learning opportunity, the Learning Hub is available anytime from anywhere YOWs are thereby addressing challenges that YOWs experience with accessing training supports and professional development such as competing demands for time, limited travel resources and the infrequency/inflexibility of currently available opportunities. The Learning Hub supports practice consistency by offering all YOWs across the province the same learning opportunities. The Learning Hub’s Community of Practice provides an opportunity for YOWs to share knowledge from their practice and lived experiences with one another.
